Raquel brings over 20 years of hands-on food industry experience to Capability Systems — and that is precisely what makes our technology solutions different. While most software consultancies approach food manufacturing from the outside, Raquel has lived it from the inside: managing BRC audits at Greencore, leading quality assurance at Cranswick Foods, driving retailer compliance at KP Snacks, and launching products at Boots.
Her career spans the full breadth of food industry operations — from new product development and supplier governance to HACCP management, root-cause analysis, and audit readiness. She has coordinated cross-functional teams, managed UK and international stakeholder relationships, and received formal recognition from Boots for exceptional delivery.
At Capability Systems, Raquel is the bridge between technology and the food industry. She ensures that every solution we build reflects the real-world complexity of food safety, compliance, and quality management. When a production manager says “that is not how it works on the floor,” Raquel already knows — because she has been on that floor.

Deep Food Industry Experience
Raquel has held senior technical and quality roles at some of the UK's most recognised food manufacturers — Greencore, KP Snacks, Boots, and Bakkavor. She has managed BRC audits, led compliance programmes, and launched over 100 chilled products at Boots alone. This is not theoretical knowledge — it is hard-won expertise from the factory floor.
Compliance & Quality Authority
With HACCP Level 4, Food Safety Level 4, and TACCP qualifications, Raquel understands food safety regulation at an expert level. She has led non-conformance investigations, root-cause analysis programmes, and corrective action processes across multiple sites. When we build compliance automation software, Raquel ensures it reflects how compliance actually works in practice.
Project Leadership
As a PRINCE2-qualified Chartered Manager, Raquel brings structured project discipline to every engagement. She creates and monitors detailed critical paths, coordinates across technical and operational teams, and manages stakeholder relationships across the UK and internationally. She is the reason our projects deliver on time and to specification.
